This familiarization visit was organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi.
The one-week visit encompassed various educational programs, such as briefings on the Indian electoral process, site visits to observe polling station preparations, and monitoring polling stations on election day to learn about transparency and other election-related aspects. The visit was highly successful and offered valuable educational experiences for all participating journalists.
On behalf of all the reporters who participated in the visit JAB express appreciation and gratitude to the Indian Embassy in Thimphu, the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, the Election Commission of India (ECI) for the warm reception and kind hospitality extended to the Bhutanese delegates in New Delhi and Goa during the week-long election tour program to observe the 18th Lok Sabha election. We look forward to such opportunity for more journalists in future.
